Private Jet Lease Types
DRY LEASE
The dry lease model is suitable for long-term private jet leases. The jet owner provides the aircraft without pilots or cabin crew. The lessee pays the owner a fixed hourly rate, purchases the fuel, contracts the flight crew, and is responsible for maintenance and insurance. The lessee has absolute operational control of the aircraft. The aircraft is operated on the AOC of the Lessee.
ACMI or WET LEASE
A wet lease is usually an arrangement for a short periods of time to fulfil a defined travel schedule. The aircraft owner or operator provides the aircraft, crew members, funding of fuel, aircraft maintenance, and insurance. – Aircraft Crew Maintenance Insurance. The jet owner retains operational control. The aircraft is operated under the AOC of the Lessor.
