JET CATEGORIES

JET CATEGORIES

There are different models of PRIVATE BUSINESS JETS that accommodate from a small team of executives

up to a large group of individuals from your enterprise or client base.

Turboprops

This category of private jet uses propellers, and therefore travels at a modest speed compared to business jets. Turboprops are perfect for taking off and landing on shorter runways. These private turboprop aircraft are the optimum choice for quick trips between cities or island hopping. Typical cruising speed is 300 knots and a nonstop range is about 1,000 miles. Turboprops are an alternative to light jets, carrying 6 to 10 passengers, and are more economical than private jets.

Very Light Jets

Very light jets have the capability to access small airports and can be boarded closer to your business or home location. They can carry 4-6 passengers and have a typical range of 1,000 miles at speeds of up to 480 mph.

Light Jets

This category has intra-continental capabilities, but they are still able to land at smaller airports. Seating is more spacious than in the very light jets, incorporating more in-cabin comforts, and the aircraft can carry 5-6 passengers. Light jets are medium range aircraft for distances of up to 1,500 miles, travelling at 400-450 mph, and with flight endurance of 2.5-3.5 hours.

Midsize Jets

This category enables comfortable travelling, in-cabin productivity for small meetings and working on laptops or smart tablets in spacious reclining seats with air conditioning, electronic equipment, and internet connectivity for in-flight work. Midsize jets accommodate 5-10 passengers. The cabin is pressurized. Range is about 2,000-3,000 miles, cruising at 430-480 mph, with a flight endurance of up to 5 hours.

Large Jets

This wide-body luxurious jet category achieves ultra-range distances and is ideal for longer flights and groups of 8-12 travellers. Baggage space is generous. Range is typically 3,400-3,600 miles non-stop, cruising in intra-continental flights at 490-590 mph.

Airliners

Heavy business jets are converted commercial airline aircraft. The large cabin space of these luxurious jets accommodates dedicated work spaces, conference rooms, and offices. This jet category is well suited for intercontinental travel. The large jets typically carry 10-18 passengers, and are equipped with advanced electronics that enable business activity. Range is in excess of 6,000 miles, flight time is 5-8 hours, and typical cruising speeds are 480-560 mph.

Private Helicopters

Luxury helicopters support your team of executives when corporate meetings are held at different locations, arriving in style and comfort. Let’s take a look at a couple of helicopters.

Augusta Westland 109 PowerGrand – Multi-purpose helicopter that can carry 7 passengers over a distance of 590 miles. The two Pratt and Whitney Canada PW207C turboshaft engines allow the aircraft to achieve speeds of up to 285 mph.

McDonnell Douglas MD900 – This twin-engine light utility helicopter of McDonnel Douglas Helicopters uses No Tail Rotor (NOTAR) principles. The two Pratt and Whitney Canada PW207E turboshaft engines allow cruise speeds of up to 152 mph, and trips of up to 190 miles.
